These late 1930s to early 1940s tap pants by Barbizon have never been worn and still retain the original tags. Made from their own 'Satin Seraphim' material which is a blend of silk and rayon in a rich shade of cream. High waisted with a bias cut, featuring a rare side zip closure that adds to their collectibility. Tailored stitching at the back of the waist allows these to flatter the figure nicely with a flare at the hip that offers a cheeky fit. These little panties fall just beyond the derriere with a delicate scalloped hem. The intentional details of these otherwise simple knickers prove that nobody did lingerie quite like Barbizon.

A Note on Buying Vintage
A Note on Buying Vintage
This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:
• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina
These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.
Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
