Vintage 1930's - 1940's Robe - Semi Sheer White Rayon Crepe with Bold Floral Print & Kimono Style Sleeves | XS, S, M

This vintage 1930s to 1940s robe was made from a semi sheer white rayon crepe material. Absolutely stunning, with large peony flowers in a bold array of red, blue, and yellow adorn the entirety which adds a cheerfulness to an otherwise dramatic piece. Bias cut with incredibly kimono sleeves that drape beautifully beyond the elbows. A darted collar with a button to completely close the lapel at the upper right shoulder offers a very smart and classy allure, though the button can remain unused for a more casual and revealing look. Very sleek, with snap button closure at the waist and a very long asymmetrical skirt that falls below the ankle depending on height. A long sash tie accompanies the robe which provides some adjustability at the waist. A very unique and special robe that would also make an incredible dress.

Condition: Has been hand washed and steamed. Fabric retains stretchability and is generally very strong for wear. Colors are still very bright and there are no obvious stains besides a tiny black dot on the right side of the upper back. This robe has quite a few holes with the largest being about an inch long on the lower edge of opening; could easily be patched, darned, or folded in and stitched. Several mends that are invisible to the eye have been done to preserve the piece. There is some faint 'splotching' where there is a slight variation of cream/white.
