Vintage 1930s to 1940s nightgown by Chevette made from a white silk satin material. Very unique, with the entire bodice being made from white floral cotton lace. Fitted with a flattering low cut square neck and a defined bust. Satin piping edges the neck and incredibly low scoop back. 3 little buttons closure the gown up the center of the back. The ankle length skirt is made from a silky rayon silk blend and is edged in lace. A stunning nightgown that would also make a gorgeous formal gown.

CONDITION

Excellent: Hand washed and steamed with no holes, rips, or stains. Gown was previously shortened but I released it back to its original length. Was washed afterwards, but creases remain after steaming. Will attempt to iron them out.

A Note on Buying Vintage

This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:

• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina

These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.

Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
