This antique 1920s step in chemise was made from a black silk knit fabric that offers a bit of stretch and a heavenly feel against the skin. Smooth ribbon straps and a sheer chantilly lace panel covering the upper bodice, with a fitted waist and loose, open hip for comfort. This very unique lingerie piece has a patented style, with a wide diamond gusset crotch and completely open side which allows you to truly 'step-in' without worrying about stressing the fabrics while pulling over the hip. Eye-hook closure from the underarm through the waist and a high open slit on either side of the leg, with the hems edged completely in lace. A truly special and beautiful little teddy!

A Note on Buying Vintage

This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:

• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina

These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.

Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
