This 1920s step in chemise was beautifully made with ultra smooth black silk charmeuse with the most exquisite silvery white tambour lace embroidery over sheer black tulle. A classic square cut top with satin ribbon straps, with lovely pin tucking along the front sides. Long thin black ribbon ties are sewn in to pull around and tie in the back to cinch the waist. A flattering skirted style, with a wide silky ribbon crotch. This teddy can easily slip over the head, as the crotch has 2 abalone shell buttons for closure. Certainly made for a wealthy person with style, this French chemise was made with upmost detail and quality! A must have for any admirer of the roaring 20s.

CONDITION - Very good: There are no holes, rips or stains. Two spots where there are mends, looks like a very well done darning over small patches for structure. These spots are nearly invisible when worn. See side by side images, showing outside and in. Still completely wearable with lots of life and a natural stretch!
