These late 1920's pajamas are exquisite in every detail and incredibly rare in their style. Made of sheer, bright lilac silk with the most magnificent and loose drape, flattering the figure and giving the boho chic late 20's look. The top is loosely fitted with a deep circle neckline and fluttered, lace edged sleeves gracing the tops of the shoulders. Gorgeous floral chantilly lace adorns the chest and upper back, with a row of silk rosettes across the center front and pintuck detail. With a slender fit similar to a T-shirt, the top sits right at the upper hip and looks lovely when worn either tucked into the pants or worn freely. The palazzo pants sit at the waist with slightly asymmetrical legs falling to the ankle, slightly shorter on the outsides. With a sleek and elegant wide leg, edged with nearly a foot of chantilly lace at the hems, with wide 38" leg openings edges in tulle ruffles. Eye-hook closure at the right hip with button-snaps for ease of wear. This remarkably feminine and exceptionally sweet pajama set is a collector's dream!
CONDITION - Excellent: no holes or rips. I found 2 very faint age spots that are smaller than a pencil eraser; one on the top front and one on the pants near the closure. Reinforced stitching at the seams in the front and back of the pants just to strengthen; not repairs. Remarkable!
