Vintage 1920's Nightgown | Pastel Yellow & Mint Green Silk Crepe de Chine with Floral Embroidery | Size Free
This 1920s nightgown is an exceptional yet simple beauty. Made of incredibly light, semi-sheer silk crepe de chine in a luscious shade of pale yellow. Mint green hand rolled silk edges the deep V neck, armholes and the square-cut scalloped hem. White entredeaux stitching adds a subtle yet artistically intricate touch around the bodice. A darling floral embroidered design decorates the center chest without taking away from a chic, and versatile design. A very loose, open fit which gives the perfectly sleek silhouette of the era, with a hem which falls to about mid-calf. A very special, beautifully boho-chic nightgown that can very easily be worn out of the boudoir.
CONDITION - Excellent: Exceptional condition with no holes or rips. Fabric is completely sound; this gown was very well cared for! A couple of very faint age spots on the left shoulder and one small, pale reddish line close to the hip. Belt loops are sewn in at the sides but there is no belt.
