Vintage 1920's - 1930's Japanese Kimono Robe | Black Silk with Deep Green Silk Crepe Lining & Intricate Hand Embroidery | Size Free

Vintage 1920s to 1930s Japanese kimono robe made from inky black silk satin and completely lined in a deep green silk crepe material. Very unique and completely stitched by hand. This stunning kimono features hand embroidery throughout. Long kimono sleeves add an elegant touch. This robe closes with an inner tie to prevent shifting, and comes with a very long, wide sash tie for closure.

NOTE: The scene features a rooster perched on a cherry blossom tree with a sun rising behind mountains. In Japanese culture, roosters symbolize the dawn of a new day, awakening, and the rising sun. Cherry blossom trees represent renewal and optimism.

CONDITION

Excellent: This robe is in amazing condition for its age. Silk and lining are both still very strong. Only one very small tear on the top of the left shoulder near the lapel. Some embroidery threading is missing. Green has a lot of fading into an olive green hue.
