This late 1920s to early 1930s step-in chemise was made of a high quality silk charmeuse fabric that is of medium weight and high in luster. A deep V cut neckline and thin silk straps, with a little pale silk rosette at the center chest. Slinky in fit with a short-skirted bottom hiding a button ribbon gusset crotch. Very sexy, with wide lace edging and high slits at the sides. A simple yet elegant lingerie piece!

CONDITION :
Very good: Structurally sound, no rips or stains. There are 3 very small holes at the center back, one fray (not a hole) directly above the crotch stitching. A repair on the front side abdominal where it looks as though a tuck was placed to conceal a hole. Very well done and hardly noticeable.

A Note on Buying Vintage
A Note on Buying Vintage
This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:
• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina
These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.
Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
