This antique 1920s slip was completely stitched by hand, made from a rich coral pink satin material that glistens under light and shadows. A classic straight cut with a wide lace panel across the chest. What makes this slip so incredibly special, is the beautifully embroidered monogram at the center chest reading the initials MER. An intricate lace inset with decorative stitching at the bodice adds an elegant allure. This lovely slip fits loosely, with a flattering drape thanks to the silk that elongates the figure. Pleated hips allow for versatility in size without sacrificing the sleek silhouette. A long hem falls to about mid-calf with a nicely finished hem, with French rolled seams for added luxury. A one of a kind lingerie staple with an intimate connection to the original wearer.

A Note on Buying Vintage
A Note on Buying Vintage
This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:
• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina
These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.
Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
