Antique 1920's Jumpsuit & Robe Lounge Set - Raw Pongee Silk with Jewel Tone Print, Made in Japan | S, M, LG

This antique 1920s jumpsuit and robe set is an incredibly rare collectors dream. Made in Japan from golden natural pongee silk with an elaborate print consisting of butterflies, celebratory ribbons, and flowers. The robe is a marvel on its own, with a relaxed drop shoulder, wide wrist length sleeves, and a wide ankle length body. Completely covered in the intentional print and closing at the center front with little ties. The jumpsuit features a very sexy deep V neck and wrap style waist. Loose and easy to wear while still flattering the curves, with a very loose hip and tapered wide legs that expand to a 35 inch opening. This set is an absolute dream for collectors of historical fashion.

Condition: Excellent, appears to have not been worn or worn very rarely and cared for with love. Colors are very bold and fabric retains a crispness to it. One bit of foxing that is very light and a couple pin sized holes. Set has been hand washed and steamed. 

If you are unfamiliar with pongee, please know that this is a raw form of natural silk. Texture variants and 'imperfections' such as knotted silk threading in some areas and a ribbed-like appearance is completely normal. Pongee is a very durable and air-light in weight fabric. Fabric is crisp and gets softer after repeated wear and washing.
