Antique 1920's Dressing Gown - Light Rose Pink Silk Satin with Gold Alençon Lace | S, M

This antique 1920's dressing gown was made from a medium weight lustrous silk satin in a rich shade of rose pink. Absolutely stunning, with intricate golden beige floral alençon lace that trails around the neckline, cascading down the wrap-style opening. Slim shoulders with wide bell shaped sleeves that split from the mid forearm to provide drama, with complementary lace at the openings. This incredible robe closes at the side with very long sash ties with silk ribbon ties inside to keep the piece from shifting. Falling above the ankle with a lace gored hem and appliqués that provide decadence from all angles. French rolled seams aided in its longevity. A truly remarkable, very rare find.

Condition: Incredible condition. Robe appears to be unworn and very lovingly stored over the last century. Fabric and lace is very strong. There are two tiny black ink(?) dots on the right side of the chest and one very small 'almost-hole' at the right shoulder seam that is approximately 2mm wide. I have not washed this because I do not want to soften the crispness of the lace (it is just so perfect!)
