This antique 1920s dress was made from a buttery soft semi-sheer white cotton lawn material with a mixture or filet and net lace panels. Remarkable adornments of padded floral scroll embroidery which allows this dress to be awe-inspiring from every single angle. Puffed sleeves with ruffled cuffs, a slit neckline and subtle rear yoke sweeten the drama. This likely homemade piece flatters the figure with a very subtle A line cut that is gently fitted at the waist from the back. Falling just beyond the knee, this dress is easily appropriate for both formal and semi-formal wear, while also being an excellent choice for casual enjoyment.
Quick Notes:
Era: 1920's or earlier
Brand: unbranded/homemade
Material: Cotton lawn, mixed lace
Size: Extra small, small (please see measurements)
Condition: Hand washed and steamed. I believe this dress was originally created in the late Edwardian to early 1920s cusp, then later modernized in the early 1930s (hence the slightly fitted waist which I am sure was an alteration). There are a few patches and very old darns as well as a few small holes. Can be safely worn, just be careful not to exceed measurements as to not apply extensive stress to the fabric.
Measurements:
• Taken seam to seam laying flat, relaxed, then doubled
• Measurements given for comfort without applying stress to seams
• Length may vary due to the curvature of the body

Sleebe Cyr: 17"
Sleeve Cuff: 12"
