This antique 1920s dress was made from a pearl white rayon celanese satin material that offers a striking luster. Incredibly fluid offering a stunning drape and gorgeous folds, with the classic loose fit and dropped waist of the era. Intricate beadwork of faux pearl and clear glass seed beads adorn the neckline and entirety of the bodice. Shirred detail at the upper hip adds a nice bit of texture while the sleek skirt falls just below the knee. This beauty offers something to catch the eye from all angles, with dress-length sashes sewn into the shoulder seam that can be tied however you'd like. An absolutely darling piece that would make for an excellent bridal reception dress.
Label: None
Era: 1920s
Material: Celanese satin

Condition: hand washed and steamed, perfectly suitable for wear. Beadwork was removed from the arm openings but the loose weave makes their imprint nearly invisible. Two small supporting patches fused near the inner seam under the arms that is invisible when worn. Some faint underarm staining that I was able to lighten but not completely remove, honestly is hardly noticeable especially due to sheen. One small mark on the lower left skirt. Some variation of color on beads due to age (not sure of the proper way to describe this, please forgive me!)

A Note on Buying Vintage
A Note on Buying Vintage
This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:
• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina
These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.
Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
