This Edwardian era petticoat was made from a buttery soft, semi-sheer white cotton lawn material. This antique lingerie staple is an excellent representation of the intentional details and characteristics with a high waist and gathered fabric at the center back which creates extra volume to provide the iconic S shaped silhouette. Sleek and smooth around the front with a long ankle length ruffled hem that is full of body thanks to the very wide sweep. Below the top ruffle hides an additional two, very the undermost layer being made from a delicate bobbin lace. Rear eye-hook closure keeps the piece securely closed. A simple beauty that does not lack in detail.
