This stunning antique skirt from the early 1900s is made of ultra sheer white Chantilly lace with tiers of detail and scalloped edging. Ribbon tape at the waist and eye-hook closure down the back. Multiple tiers of scalloped edging with blue satin ribbon woven through and sewn in at the seams. Very slender fit with a relatively wide sweep, falling down to about mid shin to ankle, depending on height. This beautiful skirt could have also been used as a lingerie piece, perhaps a petticoat or slip. Such an incredible late Victorian to early Edwardian dress, with tons of versatility.

A Note on Buying Vintage

This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:

• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina

These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.

Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
