This vintage 1950s to early 1960s nightgown by Carter's was made from a sheer white nylon chiffon that leaves just enough for the imagination. An absolutely gorgeous Grecian style, with a split bodice connected at the center, leaving a sexy keyhole detail just above the waist. Gorgeous satin embroidery frames the bust and 'wraps' around the front of the waist. A long pleated skirt provides texture and movement for the wearer, with a low V cut back for an extra sensual touch. A true stunner!

Label: Carter's

Era: 1950s-1960s

Material: Nylon

Color: White

Size: Small, medium (please see measurements)

Condition: hand washed and pressed with no rips or stains. Straps were previously shortened and released which has left a few stitch holes on the very top of one of the back straps; unseen when worn unless hovering over.

Measurements:

• Taken seam to seam laying flat, relaxed, then doubled

• Maximum stretch given for comfort without applying stress to seams

Bust: 34-36”

Waist: 27-30"

Hips: up to 52

Length: 56"

Fit Notes: The bust/bodice is gathered which accommodates a variety of bust sizes. Nipped at the waist with a soft drape over the hip. Pleated skirt slims and elongates the lower body. Very flattering!

A Note on Buying Vintage

This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:

• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina

These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.

Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
