This vintage 1940s wedding dress was made from a sheer warm ivory rayon chiffon. Beautifully fitted in the bodice with enormous princess puffed sleeves supported at the shoulders with plastic netting and cinched cuffs that fall at the upper bicep. This darling gown features a gathered bust and fitted white satin princess cut waist panel covered with a chiffon overlay, with a dramatically full skirt made from rows of chiffon and lace. So much body, with a gathered hip and ankle length front while the back trails lovingly with an impressive 110 inch train. This darling dress slips on overhead, closing up the center back with chiffon covered buttons as well as at the side with a hidden metal zipper. An incredibly ethereal beauty.

Condition: very good condition with no stains. A few small holes and some seam repairs. There are a few small patch repairs at the underside of both sleeves and under the left arm that are secure for wear (done with fusing powder and actual fabric from the dress taken from a seam) these are hidden when worn. A few breaks in the lace as well that I did not attempt to mend due to the delicate threading. Presents beautifully.
