This vintage 1930s nightgown and peignoir set was completely stitched by hand, made from a rich golden taupe silk material. Bias cut, with the gown featuring a very sheer silk chiffon bodice and fluttered sleeves beautifully adorned with silk satin heart and scallop appliqués. Slim fitting with a decorative princess waist band and long flowing satin skirt. The accompanying robe features long bishop sleeves that close at the wrists with satin button cuffs. A matching silk satin shoulder with heart embroidery and a flirty Peter Pan collar. The robe is completely open, closing at the neck with little ties. Half moon puff sleeves give the darted look of the era. A truly remarkable set perfect for a bridal trousseau.

A Note on Buying Vintage
A Note on Buying Vintage
This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:
• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina
These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.
Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
