This vintage 1930s to early 1940s sweater-like wedding dress was made from an ivory cotton crochet with a beautiful macrame like lace pattern. Bias cut with a flattering sweetheart neckline edged in ruffled cotton tulle. Slim long sleeves with lightly padded shoulders to give the classic silhouette of the era, closing at the cuffs with little satin buttons. This darling gown features a gathered bust and fitted princess cut waist, with a slim A line skirt that is heavily gathered at the hip to offer a flattering shape and bountiful folds. This darling dress can slip on overhead or stepped into for ease of wear, closing up the center back with a row of taupe colored satin buttons. A very sleek and sophisticated gown.

A Note on Buying Vintage
A Note on Buying Vintage
This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:
• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina
These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.
Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
