This 1910's Edwardian redingote (walking coat) was made from a lighter weight dove gray wool and features incredibly ivory soutache embroidery throughout its entirety. A sophisticated equestrian style tailored fit with broad shoulders and long tapered sleeves, a nipped waist and asymmetrical split hem that mimics the military style jackets of the era. The front falls below the knee while the back falls to the ankle. Very pale blue soutache buttons close the piece at the front and adorn the back. This jacket is fully lined in a silky mint green material and is completely wearable. A very rare and elegant style.
