Vintage 1940s maxi length slip dress made from a silky lightweight white rayon 'Celanese' fabric. Very sweet, with a bias cut and low V cut neckline. A slinky and slim fit through the bodice, hiding nicely under clothing thanks to thin straps and a low back. A sleek skirt with a ruffled hem adds a gorgeous touch, great for wearing under your favorite vintage dresses though its lovely enough to wear on its own. Ankle length with no closure, slipping on over-head. A perfect addition to any underpinnings collection.

A Note on Buying Vintage

This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:

• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina

These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.

Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
