This vintage 1940s dressing gown robe was made from a heavier weight rayon satin charmeuse fabric in a gorgeous shade of dusty rose pink. Elaborate floral lace with layers of embroidery adorn the collar and sleeve cuffs, adding decadence to an already lovely piece. Bias cut with crescent shaped shoulder pads provide the perfect 40s silhouette. This beauty is fitted at the waist with long, wide skirt falling to the floor with a slightly longer trained back. Stunning folds and a high luster create an incredible play of colors under any lighting, a true gem!

CONDITION :
Very good : There are some marks and discoloration on the underside of the back, though only one mark shows through on the outside rear-lower part of the skirt which is quite faint. Some darker age shading on the lace and a few places on the skirt which honestly hide pretty well in the folds and because of the very high shine. I found two pinholes and two frays; one on the skirt and one on the upper back. Flaws do not distract from wearability or beauty!

A Note on Buying Vintage
A Note on Buying Vintage
This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:
• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina
These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.
Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
