This vintage 1940's dressing gown robe has never been worn, made of rich merlot rayon satin that feels like heaven against the skin. Bias cut with shoulder pads and loose sleeves give the perfect 40's silhouette, with scalloped edges along the collar and folded sleeves to give a subtle bit of detail. An open deep V cut with tailored stitching in the back, and a long sleek ankle length skirt to provide a stunning drape along the figure. One side pocket for your trinkets, with an inner tie to keep the robe from shifting. This robe closes with a single button snap at the front, with an accompanying sash tie to cinch the waist to your liking. Absolutely lovely!

A Note on Buying Vintage

This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:

• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina

These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.

Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
