Vintage 1920s robe by John Wanamaker, never worn with the original tag intact. This robe is quite heavy, made from a rich rose pink silk and fully lined in apricot silk crepe. Long, very wide (38 inches) handkerchief sleeves edged in wide panels of floral lace add drama, with an enormous pussy bow that ties at the neck. Loose in fit with ruched detail at the tops of each shoulder and back of the neck. This stunner closes at the side of the hip with a single button snap that is hidden below a lovely millinery floral bouquet and falls below the knee.

CONDITION
Very good: Garment has held up extremely well for being over 100 years old. Is quite heavy which aids in its durability. No rot or shattering, lining is in excellent condition without flaws. Some spots on the outer layer of the silk where the sheen has deteriorated and the thread weave is exposed, the worst is on the top of the right shoulder (last photo, third box to the right/middle row). Some surface level scratches and small brownish spots from storage. Should be worn and handled with care.
