This late 1910s to early 1920s Japanese kimono was hand made from a rich cobalt blue silk material. Double lined with gorgeous hand embroidered Art Nouveau style chrysanthemums and vines that adorn its entirety, with tediously done Peking knot detail at the center of each flower. This stunning robe closes with a wide silk sash with fringe at the ends which adds a very elegant allure. A long padded hem that reaches the floor creates a dramatic effect upon movement. A highly collectible piece of history.
