Vintage 1950's Peignoir Set | Pale Sea Foam Green Nylon Chiffon with Floral Lace & Satin Ribbon Waist | Vanity Fair | Size XS
Availability:
This 1950s peignoir set is a Vanity Fair classic. A gorgeous nightgown and peignoir robe made of sheer nylon chiffon in a delicious shade of sea foam green. Ultra fluffy due to the double lining, with the peignoir featuring a lovely puffed lace half sleeve and a lace collar, closing at the chest with 2 fabric covered buttons. The nightgown is an absolute doll, with a flattering lace neckline and gathered bust. Fitted through the waist with a darling sewn in satin ribbon tie that creates a marvelous bow in the back. This whimsical little lingerie set falls below the knee giving the perfectly prim and proper look of the 50's and early 60's. An excellent choice for the pinup boudoir, and a great addition to a bridal trousseau.
CONDITION - Very good-excellent: The robe is missing the middle button & loop. One tiny little hole which was previously mended with a few stitches. There are also some incredibly faint marks that I tried very hard to photograph but they don't really show up (see last photo). The nightgown has one small mark right at the edge of the lace on the bodice (also difficult to see in photo), and one tiny orange-ish mark on the ribbon.
