This 1940s nightgown is made from ultra sheer, pink taupe silk chiffon that drapes beautifully along the form. With long, wide peasant sleeves that are ruched at the shoulder and cinched with elasticized cuffs closing with button-snaps. Gorgeous embroidery adorns the tops of the shoulders and around the very deep V cut scalloped neckline. Bias cut with an elastic ruched detail across the front and back of the waist, which provides an always perfect fit. This delightfully simple yet elegant gown falls to about mid-shin with a sleek, wide skirt and can easily be worn as a dress with the right slip. Absolutely lovely!

CONDITION - Excellent: no holes or rips. A few very small dark spots from age; two on the inner left sleeve, one on the side of the left bodice, and a few tiny spots in a cluster directly above the hem on the back.
