This lovely 1940's nightgown by Miss D Benay is dripping with detail. Made of silky light rose rayon satin and edged in gorgeous ecru lace. With a ruched bias cut bodice and a scandalously deep center slit, closing at the neck with two ribbon ties. A lovely ruffled lace yoke with wide pink satin ribbon woven at the edge, with matching cuffed princess sleeves for an added feminine touch. A high ruffled neck and deep center back slit allow for a modest yet sultry look that is just as sweet as it is sexy. This beautiful gown flatters the form perfectly, accentuating all of the best assets. Fitted through the upper hip with a long floor length skirt that is slightly fluted at the hem. A perfect negligee for any vintage or modern boudoir collection.
CONDITION - Excellent: I don't believe this gown has been worn. No holes or rips, and only one marble sized age spot on the lace yoke. See last photo. This has been washed but I was unable to lift the spot.

A Note on Buying Vintage
A Note on Buying Vintage
This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:
• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina
These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.
Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
