This late 1930s - early 1940s Japanese kimono is a very unique yet classic design. Hand sewn and made of rich plum purple silk with the sweetest rose pattern in various shades of pink & green. Lined in a pastel peach silk to give a nice weight and delicious feel against the skin. Absolutely stunning, with a loose shoulder and 23" long kimono sleeves. Falling to the ankle with a slim fit, this makes an ultra sexy and practical dressing gown with a beautiful drape and flattering fit. Can be worn open or closed, cinching at the waist with a long detached sash tie made special with silk thread tassels hanging from the ends. A very lovely robe that will difficult not to live in!
CONDITION - Excellent: Very well cared for and structurely sound. There are a few small darker spots that hide in the purple shade, with the largest being approximately 10" above the hem on the right side. One tiny hole in the center back. Lining in perfect condition.
*Color is more purple in hue, though it appears to be closer to an indigo in photos.
