A 1940s dressing gown made of thick coral crepe material with a pleated ruffle yoke, ready to wow with a glamorous shape and style. This robe gives a sleek and feminine look, with 3/4 sleeves and a loose, gathered bodice followed by a fitted waist and straight floor length skirt. Two ties at the neck tie into a darling little bow, and narrow pleats below the bust give a slightly bias fit, and there is a ruffled edged pocket on the left hip holds your keys or trinkets. The back of this gown has gorgeous ruched detail right above and below the waistband giving a stunning cape-like effect for added drama. This robe wraps and closes toward the right side with an inner button snap close to the left seam and an eye-hook closure toward the right for a perfect fit without shifting. Attached ties tie at the right on the waist for a snug fitted waist with a bit of flair. This dressing gown falls to above the ankle and will make you feel like an old Hollywood starlet and was made with very high quality standards!
CONDITION - Very good: A repair was made to a small fray spot on the bodice and there are areas of fading along the shoulders and hem. A tiny pinhole near the pocket and a dark stain along the edge of the inner corner, which does not show when worn. There appears to be a few very light water marks that may lift for a professional launderer.

A Note on Buying Vintage
A Note on Buying Vintage
This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:
• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina
These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.
Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
