Vintage 1930's Peignoir Set | Snow White Rayon Satin with Alençon Lace | Marfay, New York | Size S, M

Out of Stock

This stunning 1930s-1940s peignoir set is made from the silkiest snowy white rayon satin material. The peignoir is a jacket style with an open fit, tying at the neck with a darling peter pan collar. With shoulder pads to give the classic 1930's glam look, and gathered shoulders with long wide sleeves extending to the wrist. Gorgeous Alençon lace adorns the hem of the sleeves and the opening of the robe. The nightgown has a flattering bias cut with ruched straps and a bodice accentuated with lace appliques. Slightly fitted through the upper hip with button snap closure at the side. This stunning gown has an exquisite long skirt falling to the ankle with a slight train in the back for added drama. A very lovely set which was worn lightly on the original owners wedding night!
