This 1940s dressing gown is a remarkable beauty by Famous Barr of St. Louis. Never worn, made of luscious rich peach silk with a high luster that shines and drapes perfectly. Cut on the bias with sheer Alençon lace throughout the bodice and sleeves. Open in the center to give a sexy yet modest peek and whats beneath, closing with silk covered buttons to the waist. Loose princess puffed sleeves with a light ruched detail along the tops of the shoulders to give texture and body, tapered to the cuff which falls just a few inches above the elbow. Fitted at the waist with inner button-snap closure to prevent shifting, with a long and wide detached sash tie to cinch for a perfect fit. Sleek and sweetly sophisticated, this gorgeous robe has a slim drape which accentuates and lengthens from the hip to the floor-length hem. A modest train in the back allows for beauty at any angle, with a lace appliques in the center back to compliment the front and sleeves. Absolutely exquisite in every way, perfect for casual leisure but can certainly transform into an enchanting formal gown.
