A lovely late 1920s to early 1930s chemise made of slinky champagne - ivory silk that drapes beautifully along the frame. With gorgeous deep taupe alençon lace embroidery dictating the entirety of the front bodice, giving subtly glimpses of skin behind the sheer tulle mesh fabric. With thin adjustable straps and a straight neck and deep bias cut fabric to flatter the figure. An open waist and hip that accommodates a variety of sizes, and short hem that is completely hand rolled giving a slightly fluted hem. This stunning slip is as versatile as you'd like it to be. Perfect for the boudoir but also makes a sexy tunic top or slip dress in the hot summer months.
CONDITION - Very good: No holes, rips or tears. Some discoloration due to age, primarily at the right hip area, where it looks to have had a bit of water damage. Does not distract from its beauty and may lift with proper treatment from a professional. I have washed this slip but could not remove the stain. I think the hem was an alteration based on the rest of the stitching which appears to be done by machine. Still quite beautiful and adds a special touch to the slip!
