This 1930s beach pajama set was made in Japan, consisting of a loosely fitting tank and very high waist palazzo pants. The set is made of very silky black rayon with a gorgeous floral damask. Edged entirely in gold silk crepe that peeks from the bottom hems and armholes when worn. The top has a deep collar with beautiful raised silk floral embroidery on the bodice, and falls just to the hip in a straight cut. The pants have an elastic back and flat front which closes at both sides with eye-hooks and button-snaps beneath 3 gold silk faux buttons. A comfortable loose hip and long, flowing legs which fall to the ankle. Huge 40" leg openings add tons of sway in your movement. These very fun 'sailor' styled pajamas do not appear to have been ever worn and are delightfully crisp due to exceptional care over the years.
