This vintage 1920s Japanese kimono robe was made with light in weight black tissue silk fabric with gorgeous chrysanthemums printed all over its entirety. Bold shades of yellow, blue, green, pink and white cascade down the entire back and both sides of either sleeve, popping against the black background. Classic and loose with a stunning drape famous to the era, with long wide sleeves which add a delightfully glamorous appeal. Ankle length with an open fit. Lined in thin red silk, a prevalent choice of the Taisho period. Perfect to wear open or closed with a belt of your choosing, also makes an excellent duster over your day wear for a Boho chic style.

CONDITION :

Excellent: Strong fabric, sturdy for wear. A slight patina to the black due to age, 2 pinholes on the outer layer, 2 on inner. Some color bleeding on the inner lining about mid calf area, does not deflect from its beauty!
