This 1920s Japanese shirt is a rare bird, made from sheer natural raw pongee silk that is as light as a feather. Absolutely gorgeous, with an elaborately painted floral pattern adorning the sleeves, high Mandarin collar, and slit hem. Very sexy with a deep keyhole beneath a button neck, with painted sashes to hide a bit of the chest. Very loosely fitted through the bust and waist, with the hem falling just at the upper hip. A sweet little pocket at the right hip to hold your trinkets adds more beauty to an already lovely piece. This little top can be worn as a night shirt or would look stunning worn with your day wear. Very versatile and very special!
CONDITION - Very good-excellent: Looks to have been very lightly worn if at all, but there are two deep violet stains on the back shoulder that are likely due to an ink spillage or color bleeding. Tiny pinholes on the front where there looks to have once been buttons and a few that only show when held up to the light. No underarm staining. Very sturdy and very much so able to be worn!
