This 1920s Japanese kimono style robe is an iconic must have for any collector of 20s relics! Made of very light, natural raw pongee silk which gives a gorgeous dull luster. Incredibly bold, large hand painted flowers and symbols adorn its entirety in bright shades of blue, red, green & gold. Very loosely fit with a loose shoulder and wide sleeves falling well below the elbow. This stunning robe can be worn open or closed, with sewn in ties that tie at the right hip. A lovely long hem that falls below the knee to about mid-calf, making this perfect for wearing as a traditional robe, light duster in the warmer months, or even a dress with the right underthings and a good belt. Such an exquisite piece of wearable art!
CONDITION - Excellent: No holes, rips, or mends! This robe is completely structurally sound and looks to have not ever been worn. There are two brownish spots; one on one of the ties and one on the hip area. This robe has not been washed, so the spots may very well lift.
