This 1920s to early 1930s Japanese kimono robe is exquisitely detailed and perfect for making you feel like a total old Hollywood Goddess. Completely hand-sewn and made entirely of lined smooth silk that feels like heaven against the skin. Light periwinkle blue across the top with a rich cobalt blue at the bottom skirt. A remarkable hand painted and hand printed floral pattern adorns the entirety of the back and dramatically long 33.5" kimono sleeves, in gorgeous shades of ivory, rust, yellow and green. This rare beauty is fully lined with silk, which has a simple yet elegant ombre effect with shades of rouge, white, and light blue. Can easily be worn open or closed with that accompanying, very long silk sash tie. Perfect for wear or display, this stunning piece of history is a true gem!

CONDITION - Very good: Overall this baby is in remarkable condition for being nearly 100 years old. There have been some seam repairs that are invisible and done in the same way that that the robe was originally stitched. Several age spots with the worst being around the collar/neck area (see last photo). No holes but there are weak spots where that paint has worn away. Very sturdy, COMPLETELY wearable and has been hand washed.
