This very special 1920s chemise was made from smooth ultra light lavender/pink silk and is loaded with stunning embroidered alençon lace at the bodice and hem. Straight neck with a loose waist, a staple style of the era. With thin silk straps and hand-drawn hemstitching across the bust, and darling floral embroidery to add a very feminine touch to an already beautiful slip. This sweetly sexy relic falls several inches above the knee, with a low back and lush pleated fabric at the sides right at the hip to give texture and shape. Completely open in the skirt for a comfortable and easy to wear style, which would make a very chic tunic top or dress for those who love the lingerie look outside of the bedroom. A great almost antique piece!
CONDITION - Very good: There is one small dark mark on the front-left of the skirt, and another in a pleated fold at the side-hip along with a very pale age spot. One spot in the lace directly above the hem in the back were there is a hole, mostly just very loose threads. There looks to be several repairs made to re-connect the silk to the lace in the back, very small thread-work that is not obvious when worn, only upon inspection.
