Beautiful roses, peonies, and chrysanthemums with tiny penkin stitching at the centers of the roses, which is a rarity to find today. Gorgeous white Hou-oo birds mirror each other, representing peace, compassion, purity, and endless love. Two loops at the neck are present, used for display on a traditional stand. There is a sash that is sewn to the kimono for closure. Two button-snaps were sewn to the piece at a later date, which I have not removed. Sash looks to have been made from cutting the bottom of the hem, as these traditionally were worn with an Obi. I did some seam repair which is invisible. The kimono has not been washed as I was afraid of color bleeding onto the lining.
